It is the second closest hotel to the Durban International Convention Centre. It is also a short distance from the beach, a five-minute drive to both uShaka Marine Theme Park and new 2010 Soccer World Cup stadium. One does not need to drive, unless one wants to, as the hotel is on the route for People Mover, which is a bus transport system designed for tourists in Durban, where one pays one fee for the whole day. One can use this one ticket as many times as one wants, from 6 am until 11 pm to go to Casino, Beach, uShaka Marine Theme Park, and Indian Market. Being a listed building of Durban, our hotel is steeped in history. It was first built in 1920 as a residential house. The age of the building is evidenced by the Origen pine floors. The African decor creates an exclusive, yet homely retreat for the corporate visitor, conference delegate, or holiday maker.
